Wolfe
plates A
guard over the brake rotor is required on all karts that have the rotor behind
the seat.
Safety
inspection It
is the responsibility of the driver to have his/ her kart safety inspected
before the first session of hot laps. Any Kart that has not passed safety
inspection will not be permitted on the track.
Working
on karts
No work on
Karts will be permitted on the track. Karts must be pulled off the end of track
by the scales building, and only under yellow. You will then have 2 laps to
rejoin the field or pull your kart off the track. If the driver reenters the
race with in 2 laps they will start tail. Once a kart exits the track it will
not be permitted to reenter the track. (example: If
kart stop to put gas cap on that is considered working on the Kart.)
No
Alcoholic beverages permitted. Drivers are responsible for their crew. Anyone found
drinking during an event, or under the effects of
alcohol will be asked to leave. The kart they are with will be Disqualified for the event.
Fighting, or Threatening will not be
tolerated.
Cussing
or obscene gestures This is a family oriented sport
and any inappropriate actions will not be tolerated.

When
Qualifying
order will be done by pill draw. If you are not present on the grid, or not ready when it is your turn to qualify you will
be scored in last place for that class. If more than one kart misses qualifying
the final position will be determined by the pill draw.
Heat
race
starting position will be determined by qualifying. Fast qualifier will start tail of the heat. 2nd
fast qualifier will start tail of 2nd heat and so on. If not
qualifying the order will be by pill draw.
Feature
starting
positions will be determined by the combination qualifying position and heat
finish. Qualify 1st and win heat race puts you on the pole. Any ties
for starting position will be broken by the qualifying position. If not
qualifying the finish of the two heats will determine the order, and pill draw
will be the tie breaker.
Green
flag Starts and restart It is the pole positions responsibility to bring the field around at a
nice even pace. It is the outside poles responsibility to stay even, and keep
pace with the pole setter until the green flag is thrown. The flagman starts
the race! If either of the first row starts before the green flag is thrown,
that racer will be put back one row and the 2nd row behind that
racer will move to the front row.
Passing
before the cone on restarts No kart is permitted to pass before the restart
cone. If a kart does pass before the cone the driver will be docked 1 place+
the number of places he/she jumped before the cone. (Pass 1 kart before the
cone and you will be scored 2 spots back at the end of the race.) If you are
beside a kart at the cone that will be considered a pass even if the driver is
not successful in getting passed the kart before the 1st turn.
Entering
the track
all karts will enter the track at the entrance only. No kart will be permitted
to enter through the exit.
Joining
the field
Once the field is on the track the pit steward will determine if a late kart
can join the field safely. If the kart is allowed to join the field the driver
will start tail. If the pit steward determines that the kart cannot safely join
the field that kart will be scored last place in that class for that race. Once the race has started no kart will be
permitted to enter the track.
Yellow
flag The
yellow means slow down! Karts will not
be scored once the yellow flag is displayed, or the yellow lights are on. There
is No racing under yellow. All Karts involved in a yellow will go tail. In Sr.
classes if you cause the yellow flag to come out twice you will be black
flagged. 3 yellows for Jr. classes. We use All
Star style scoring. All racers scored when a yellow comes out will be lined up
as scored, and the rest of the field not making it past the finish line will
line up according to the previous lap.
Red
flag
stop your kart in a safe manner on the track. Do not drive
passed the accident. No crew is permitted on the track to work on Karts. If a
kart is worked on that kart will restart the tail of the race
Lay over flag Continue racing, but move to
the high side of the track and allow the leaders to pass. Attempts to impede,
or race with the leaders who has gain a lap on you
will result in the driver being black-flagged.
Black
flag A driver may receive a black
flag for these reasons, but not limited to these reasons:
1
Rough driving (1 example: if you have to run into the left rear of a kart to
pass them)
2
Being the cause of 2 cautions (3 cautions in the Jr. classes)
3 If
it is determined that your kart may not be safe to continue racing
4 If
a member of your crew enters the track or approaches the flagman during the
race
5
Stopping, spinning out, or pausing on the track in an attempt to bring out a
yellow
6
Not complying with the Lay over flag
7
Using obscene gestures (example use of finger gesture to anyone)
8 Blocking. Anyone turning down on or into another kart in an attempt to impede
with the other kart passing, or swerving in an attempt to keep someone from passing,
or Any driver blatantly racing down the middle of the track and brake checking
in the corners attempting to keep other karts from passing Maybe blackflagged!
On
the final lap if driver’s actions deem a black flag the driver will be
penalized.
Any driver failing to leave the track after being black flag risk being
ban from future competition.
Adjusting
finish
The track reserves the right to adjust the finish if we feel a driver blatantly
takes out another driver on the last lap of the race.
Ending
races Races will be given
a 1 minute per lap time limit and will
immediately go white and checker once the time limit is meant .
Rain
Out The
track will attempt to call the rain out in adequate time. If the show has
started we will make every attempt to get the track back into racing condition
and continue, but if it is not possible to continue and there has been feature
line up established that will be the finish order for that event. If a
qualifying has completed we will ad an additional feature to the next scheduled
event taking the qualifying order as the line up order for the feature. If not
qualifying and first heat has been completed and rains out before the second
heat a feature line up will be established from the first heat race, and an
additional feature will be ran at the next scheduled event. There will be no
refunds once the qualifying has been completed, or the first heat race has been
run if not qualifying. If the race rains
out after gates open and prior to heat races, there will be 25 pts awarded to
each signed in driver.
All
decisions and judgments made by track officials are final and not open to debate.
Complaint
department

All tech will be done by a fair WKA certified tech that has no affiliation with any competitors in the class. Also it is the decision of the tech as to what competitors and what engine parts are to be subject to tech.
Refusing
tech
Anyone refusing tech will forfeit all points and money for the event. Anyone
refusing tech a second time will lose all points accumulated in that class for
the year, and will be limited to racing only the open class, or make
arrangements to have their motor teched prior to any
future racing in any of the classes subject to motor tech. Anyone refusing to
be teched under a protest will loose points, and
money for that event.
Protest
fee and requirements
A $75 cash protest fee will be put up prior to any tech. The racer/
owner protesting will be subjected to the same tech as the protested. Upon the
protestor passing tech the protested motor will be teched.
If the motor being protested passes tech $75 will go to the racer/ owner being
protested. If the motor in question does not pass tech the protestor will receive $75 protest
fee back. All Protest must be made in writing and with in 30 minutes of the end
of the race. The protestor must leave his kart in the impound area and not take
it back to his/her pit after the feature if they intend to protest. Only
protest excepted will be by driver, or owner entered in the same class as being
protested.
After
qualifying, or first heat if not qualifying Every engine will be marked
after qualifying. If parts, or entire engine needs to
be changed, tech needs to be notified first. Parts, or
entire engine will be impounded. After the race should the drivers
engine be subject to tech the parts, or entire engine impounded will be subject
to the same tech.
Scales Upon completion of
qualifying, heat race, and feature karts must proceed to the scales. No crew
can assist, or come in contact with the driver, or the
kart prior to weighing. If minimum weight is not met, the competitor will be
scored at the end of the field for that race, or qualifying.
Fuel Only clear alcohol is
permitted, No additives. This applies to all alcohol classes including opens. Fuel maybe subject to tech before and/or after a race.
Gas
class
Pump gas only. No additives, or racing gas.
Tie-
breaker
Ties will be broken by the number of first place finishes,
if that doesn’t do it second place finishes and so on.
Moving up a class in Jrs. A racer may move up one
class 1 time and still move back if the parents do not feel they are ready for
that class. After the 2nd time racing the higher class the racer
will not be permitted to move back down. The Jr. Pro and Jr. Unrestricted may
be raced without effecting a racers status in a Jr. 1,
Jr. 2, or Jr. 3 class, and maybe raced as a second class for racers looking to
race more than one class.
We will strive to provide
a fair, and family oriented facility for the racers. You can also expect that
all decisions and judgments will not always go in your favor. The track
officials have got to make calls based on the way they see it, at the moment it
happens without the benefit of different views or instant replays. Which without a doubt will differ from time to time the way someone
else may see it. We assure you that all calls by track officials are
made with out prejudice.
Remember you can disagree without being disagreeable. We
will discuss any matter in a calm productive manner after a race.
